Dr. Kester Quist-Aphetsi Won the President's Outstanding Youth Prize for Excellence in Technology
His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and Ambassador Ashim Morton made Dr. Kester Quist-Aphetsi, the 2020 Laureate of the Millennium Excellence Awards, President's Outstanding Youth Prize for Excellence in Technology.
The 2020 Laureate of the Millennium Excellence Awards, President's Outstanding Youth Prize for Excellence in Technology was sponsored by Gold Fields, which is one of the world's largest gold mining firms headquartered in Johannesburg South Africa. All laurates would have access to 2 million US dollars support for their future research works and projects.
According to Dr. Kester Quist, he is humbled to be honored with this prestigious award and he looks forward to serving his country and the continent just like other Laureates namely Kofi Annan, Desmond Tutu, Mo Ibrahim, Wole Soyinka, and other Lifetime Africa Achievement Prize Winners.
Dr. Kester has worked on Global committees such as the United Nations Experts Working for Groups under the International Telecommunications Union, UN WHO, IEEE Global Committees, ACM Future Computing Academy, Internet Society groups, Internet Engineering Task Force, CRITAC others are not easy. He is also the General Chair of more than 5 top indexed scientific conferences in the world. His job is challenging because he combined scientific leadership with consultations and implementations of these technologies. His works cut across Defense technologies, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, etc. The best parts of his life are knowledge creation, usage, and transfer to our future generations. What drives him every day is his work to serve our future needs.
